Sahara Refund Maximum Amount
The maximum amount that a depositor can claim from the Sahara Refund Portal is Rs. 10,000 in the first phase. This is a trial amount, and the refund amount may be increased in the future, depending on the success of the trial.
The Sahara Refund Portal was launched on July 18, 2023, by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. The portal aims to distribute Rs. 5,000 crore to authorized members of Sahara Group’s cooperative societies.
To be eligible for a refund, the depositor must have deposited a minimum of Rs. 10,000 in any of the four Sahara Group cooperative societies, namely:
- Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited
- Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited
- Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited
- Sahara India Financial Corporation Limited
The depositor must also have outstanding dues as of March 22, 2022.
The refund process is as follows:
- The depositor must register on the Sahara Refund Portal.
- The depositor must provide their personal details, including their name, address, and PAN number.
- The depositor must provide their investment details, including the amount deposited, the date of deposit, and the society in which the deposit was made.
- The depositor must submit their claim.
The refund will be credited to the depositor’s bank account within 45 days after filing their claim.
