To claim a Sahara refund as a nominee, the following steps can be taken:
- Visit the Sahara Refund Portal at mocrefund.crcs.gov.in.
- Click on the “Apply for Refund” button.
- Fill in the required details such as bondholder’s name, bond number, and other relevant information.
- In case of the death of the bondholder, the nominee or legal heir can apply for the refund by submitting self-attested copies of relevant documents.
- Submit the application and wait for the verification process to be completed.
- Once the verification process is completed, the refund amount will be credited to the bank account provided during the application process.
The Sahara Society will verify the claim and process it within 30 days. The portal offers a user-friendly interface for eligible individuals to effortlessly apply for their refunds. Similarly, applications for refund from the nominees/legal heirs of the bondholders who are deceased shall accompany self-attested copies of relevant documents.
